Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has requested "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The assaults succeed nights of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
